Some Films will in addition win a special Cuzin Award (Ellene, Daniel, Marisca, Ruth, Danie). For Animation film, there is the Strawberry Award, symbolizing the sweet, delicious, cute fuzzy things in life (that may not make sense, but then again that is our choice). So if an animated film has this award, it means its real good, very fun and something worth-while to enjoy. However, we also do have an award for the worst (or really unimpressive) movies, and it is called the Choke Award. The rating at the bottem of each review is what we rate it, and we also include the "Best Line in the Film" where we put what we thought was one of the lines or moments in the film.  The Bounty Hunter 7 Cuzins award, Mariscas Choice Award If you are a bounty hunter desperate for money, and you can make a quick $5 000 by just bringing in your ex-wife, what would you do? This is the story of Milo (Gerad Butler), who must take his ex-wife, Nichole (Jenifer Anniston), to jail for missing a court date. along the way they fall inlove again, and at the same time bring the bad guys to justice. This movie will have you in laughter, tears, and moments of siting on the edge of you seat. To find a flaw in this film is hard, as it steps up to all expectations in a romantic, action, comedy in every way. Not wanting to spoil it further go watch the film, and enjoy. Best line in the film? "I get to arrest my wife." 13L  Valentines Day 8 Cuzins Award To say that this movie is star-studded is the understatement of the year. To list but just a few of the stars playing in this romantic comedy: Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsy, Jessica Biel, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts and her neice Emma Roberts, Anne Hathaway, and Jamie Fox. This movie is all about love, heartbreak and friendship and discovering what is truly valuable to each person on Valentine's Day. One might think at a glance that it's just a chick flick, but guys will enjoy it just as much. It follows several individuals as they spend Valentines day, and along the way, they each learn new things about themselves and about each other, and the meaning of true love and accepting each other for who the are. On the technical aspect this movie was good, and did not disappoint us. A definate must-watch for all. Best Line in the Movie "Are you going to take that teddy-bear everywhere with you?" "Duh!"
PG L  Prince of Persia 9 Cuzins Award, Daniels Choice award Jerry Bruckhiemer, Jake Gyllenhaal, academy award winning Ben Kingsley, and beautiful Gemma Arterton, make one of the best adventure films ever. If you had played and enjoyed the games, this is for you, and even if you havent played the games, you would still enjoy this film. when prince Dustan is accused of mudering the king, his father, he escapes with a beautifull Pricess Tamina, and the time changing Sands of Time dagger. they must now prove their innoccens, protect the dagger, and stop a tyrant from ruling the world. As all Bruckhiemer films, this movie is film with fantasy, action comedy, and romance. expect spectacular shoots, capturing music, and breath taking Effects. best line in the Film? Timina"your always rushing to save the fallen beauty" Dustan "who ever sadi your beautifull?" Timina"then explain why you never keep your eyes off me?" dustan "aaahhhh..." 13V  Unknown 7 cuzins award If you like the Jason Bourn films and Taken, then you will love this film. When when a Doctor and his wife go to Berlin for a summit, he is involved in an accident and ends up in a coma for several days. But when he wakes up, he finds out that he apparently isnt who he thought he was. When nobody remebers who he is and say they have never seen him before, he realizes that he has no proof because his ID was lost. High paced action, Liam Neeson once again delivers a film you wont forget. You are at the edge of your seat from the suspence right throughout the film. Best line in the film? "It's like as if I don't even exist." 13VL  Secret Window 6 Cuzins Award One of the best psychological thrillers that I have seen in a long time. The answer to all your questions are highly unexpected. Johnny Depp plays as an author, Morton Rainey, who is currently going through a divorce with his wife (Maria Bello). On a day, a total stranger, by the name of Shooter, appears at his doorstep and blames Mort of plagiarism. Shooter threatens him if Mort does not fix his mistake. Things go from bad to worse in Mort's dark and lonely house at by the river in the woods. However, I have to admit that the ending is a little disappointing, as I hoped that good will triumph over evil, which in this case it did not. This challenges your thinking and catches you off guard. If you have watched movies like "When a Stranger Calls", "Three" and "Beautiful Mind" (of Russel Crowe), then this movie is meant for you. 13LV |
 A Perfect Getaway. 10 Cuzins Award, Daniels Choice Award This film definately deserves 5 Cuzin Awards. From a brilliantly delivered preformance, a catching screen-play, and amazing camera work, this movie is a must-watch. When a newly wed couple goes on their Honeymoon in Honolulu, they get caught up in a twisting plot, where a murderer (who kills young couples and steal their identities) is now after them. The rest is a spoiler alert. The cast, whom are Milla Jovovich, Timothy Olyphant, and Steven Zhan, really complete this film with romance, comedy, high octane action and drama. Best line from Film? "Shake the Bushes" and "He's a hard man to kill." 16VL
 Sucker Punch 9 Cuzins award, Daniels Choice Award Step into the imagination of Baby Doll, as she escapes to fantasy worlds. Zack Snyder (of 300, and Watchmen) once again provides a film combined with eye-poping effects, amazing use of colours, awesome music, and brilliant acting. From the moment the movie started right to the end I was captivated. The camera work was stunning, the visual aspect was beyond great. the music complimented each scene, and the actresses did oscar-winning preformances, delivering moments where you coulld feel the same emotions as they did. Granted, the movie will not be to everybody's liking, however it is meant for those who like action, comedy, and fantasy. Best line in the film? "You better stand up for something, or you will fall for anything." 13V
 Fireproof 9 Cuzins Award Ruth Award A movie mainly meant for married or soon-to-be married couples, but can be enjoyed by anyone of any age, this is the third enstallment from Sherwood pictures, and the Kendrick brothers (who presented Flywheel and Facing the Giants). Caleb and Catherine seem to have it all together up until a day when all goes wrong in their marriage and they are on the point of divorce. Catherine presses to go forward with divorce, but Caleb just wants peace and restoration. What changes their marriage is a book containing a forty-day challenge, given to Caleb (Kirk Cameron) by his father. Turning to Jesus Christ and learning to romance his wife again, things start to change. However, Caleb faces many challenges and learns to fight for the things he loves, no matter how hard it gets. This timeless tale is a good movie to watch with family and freinds alike, and will make you laugh and cry at the same time. Best line in the Film? Caleb: "Mr. Rudolph." Mr. Rudolph: "Caleb. PG
 Dragon Hunters 6 Cuzins award. the Strawberry award If you enjoyed the family classic, How to train your Dragon, and Avatar, then you will enjoy this film. this beautiful, cute, and colourful adventure is for all ages, with lots of fun moments and charactures to remember. one of the favorates is the little blue doggie, so keep an eye for him. When two Dragon Hunters and their dog, seek out to make a fortune, they stumble apon a chattery little girl looking for adventure, who promises them gold if they slay the World Gobbler, the fun Begins. they have to travel across a wierd and wonderful world to destroy evil, and make freinds. with amazing animation, this film is definatly good, but could have been better. so go watch it for yourself, and see what you think. best line in the film? everything the little blue doggie said,was the best. PG.  Thor 10 Cuzins, The Cuzins Choice. Marvel yet again flew into the skies, with no limits.
Sherlock Holms: a Game of Shadows 10 Cuzins, Daniels Choice Award, Cuzin Award Guy Richie yet again did not fail to deliver in this amazing squel to the first Sherlock holms film. staring yet again the talent of Robert Downey Jnr. Jude Law and several other stars.
following directly after the first installment, Holms and his trusty Sidekick go on a Blasting adventure. this film will have somthing for every body, from the action hardcores, the romantics, thrill seekers and mystry lovers, even the chess players. |
 Titanic II. 0 Cuzin Award, The Choke Award In case you do not know, this is supposed to be the follow-up of the amazing film Titanic (with the Celine Dion song, incredible romance of Jack and Rose, and the necklace named the Heart of the Ocean). This 2010 movie, and on the other hand, is not even close to the epicness that the James Cameron film had. Titanic II succeded at only at two things: 1) Epic Failure. The acting was almost passible, the camera work was ok, but what realy disappointed me were the "Special Effects".Tthey used obvious Chroma keying effects that looked real bad, CG models that looked fake, and the list goes on. And it was 2) Funny. Lots of punchy cheesy lines did in some way cover up its flaws. The acting was so melodramatic at times, that instead of being afraid that the characters might die, you end up laughing. I must say that the actress did a much better job than all the others. Best line form the film? Girl pleading with guy, "But you will freeze to death!" Guy calmly says to the girl, "Don't worry, I'll drown before that." PG  Ever After 8 Cuzins award Ruth Award One of the most romantic films set in the beautiful world of France during the 16th century. Starring Drew Barrymore, Anjelica Houston, and Dougray Scott, they make you love the great characters, despise the bad ones and enjoy each moment. It's the story of Cinderella, a young girl named Danielle and how she got her well-known name, lost the father she loved, and found the prince of her dreams. It does not come without the stepmother and stepsisters, and a Mr. Lepeur who desires to woo and marry Danielle. Even though the stepmother tries to make the Prince woo her eldest daughter, little does she know that the Prince has found a much wiser and kinder young woman that he loves. Throughout every problem, trial and miscommunication that takes place, the impossible becomes possible. Every women watching this film will surely sigh with satisfaction and say, "They lived happily ever after." Best line in the film? The King of France to the crowned Prince: "I will simply deny you my crown and live forever!!" A  Jarhead 5 Cuzins award this movie left me with mixed feelings If you are looking for a action packed, guns blazing movie, trust me you wont get it. but if you are looking for a movie where you follow in the footsteps of a young marine sniper in the second squad (the jarheads), when they go to fight the iraques, and how he never actully got to fire his rifle, then this is the movie for you. the style of the movie was in a way brutel; it didnt hide much in the fact it should how the marines lived talked and acted, so this movie will definatly not be for sensitive veiwers. but this movie did impress me in how it draws the viewer into the way they lived, that it felt as if you where there. technicaly this movie was amazing, the colour, bland as it was, was at the same time bright and over-whelming. so in short, if you want to get a glimps of what happened to the men who went to fight, but never did, then watch this. if you want to see a movie from the filmakers, or actors view, then watch it. otherswise, dont didnt. best line in the film? "this is you rifle!" 16L  Stick It. 6 Cuzins award Do not let the cover fool you. This is not some "gangsta" movie. Tthis is a fun movie for the teens and even the adults. When retired gymnast rebel, Haley, is caught vandilising, she is sent to an elite gymnastic school where she learns to face her fears. She restarts her gymnastic career and continues her training by the famous Burt vickerman (Jeff Bridges) who hasn't sent one of his gymnasts to the olimpics for years. The coach changes Hayley's life, while she too changes his life and those of his students forever. Film is filled with comedy and drama, with a stong message of not giving up and standing up for what you believe. Best line in the film? Russian instuctor: "Hey I choreographed that routine." Haley returns (in russain accent): "Yourr secret is safe with me." 13PG  When a Stranger Calls 8 Cuzins, Daniel choice award This movie is what should be the standerd for most suspence films out there. Jenny has been asked to babysit 2 kids at a house on far outside the city on a quiet hill. That same night she gets a phone call from a total stranger who seems to be watching her every move. If your heart gets that pumping feeling when you walk down a dark hallway, then your heart will jump right out of your chest with this movie. This is not your average horror/thriller. This will more than work on your mind, as most of the movie there is little action, but a lot of suspens. The film-makers succeed in making you jump when the sprinklers go on. Camilla Belle delivers an amazing preformence that will make you feel as if you were there with her. A definate must-watch movie. best line from the film? "he is in the house!" 13. |
